Great way to preserve and use LOTS of greens and herbs

Have way more greens and herbs in your garden or CSA share than you can use before they wilt away? You can easily find instructions for freezing them raw or blanched, but I recently discovered another option that I had never heard of before.

Click HERE to read the blog post on how to dry and grind your own green and herb mix by Risa Stephanie Bear on her blog A Way to Live.

Greens from Flats Mentor Farm

Basically, she describes drying a mix of all sorts of greens and fresh herbs and grinding them into a handy and nutritious mix that has long shelf life and can be used to easily add flavor as well as a healthy blast to any savory dish. She uses a creative narration method, too.  Well worth the read. 🙂

Check it out, and, if you have an easy and/or creative preservation technique or a tasty recipe using your farmers market fare, send it along to RecipesandMore and we’ll share them.

See you at the market!
