Wakefield Farmers Market

Saturdays June 17 – October 14 2017

NEWSFLASH: For Kids! FYT Fitness Class AND Kid’s Cooking with Holly on 8/30/14!

Another great day at our market for the children!

Don Doward of New England Fitness Design will present his special FYT For the Future Class this Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

What does FYT mean?  Fun Youth Training!  This 45 minute “boot camp” will get kids moving by teaching them activities that increase strength, agility, and flexibility, along with fitness basics, in a safe class. The goal is to to keep them them active and physically fit, all while having fun. No special equipment or clothing needed – just sneakers and comfortable clothes.

Back by popular demand, Holly Pierce will do one of her special Kid’s Cooking with Holly cooking demonstrations this week at 11:00 a.m., just in time for the young folks to try a sample or two after their fitness fun.

Holly has been known to get kids to ask for arugula. Could kale be in their future?

Live Music with Kevin G. Moore starting at 10:30, too!
Just a great day to come to the market.

More details to come in the Friday Newsletter.

Of Note:  On the Edge Knife Sharpening is here this week, too!

Each year, the American Farmland Trust holds its national Favorite Farmers Market Contest as a way to raise awareness of family farms and farmers markets.  We were #1 in Massachusetts in 2012 and  #2 in Massachusetts and #26 on the top 100 in the USA in 2013.  But, we can do better this year because…
I know you all love your farmers market. ☺
