Here’s the Scoop and How to Win:
Also, scroll down all the way to learn about two really great artisan events happening in Wakefield on Friday evening 12/5 and all day Saturday 12/6!
The Wakefield Farmers Market and Miss Holly
(Chef Holly Pierce) are donating a decorated tree to the Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield Festival of Trees Raffle.
But, not just any pretty tree!
Along with festive decorations, the tree will also include two $10 Market Bucks Gift Certificates, one redeemable at the Melrose-Wakefield Winter Farmers Market, and one redeemable at the Wakefield Farmers Market during the 2015 season starting in June.
Miss Holly has donated a gift certificate for a cooking class (excluding the cost of the food) for 2-4 people!
How to Enter: Simply stop by the lower level of the Americal Civic Center at 467 Main Street in Wakefield MA between 3:00-7:00 p.m. on Saturday December 6 and purchase as many $1 raffle tickets as makes you feel lucky! Then put one or more tickets in the box at whatever tree or trees most strike your fancy.
Winners will be contacted and must pick up their trees on Sunday December 7 between 12 noon-2:00 p.m.
While you are in town: The Festival of Trees is part of Wakefield’s Annual Holiday Stroll, which starts off with Children’s Activities at the Civic Center at 1:00 p.m., with the Hat Parade leaving that location at 3:00, followed by a plethora of music and dance performances, arts displays, buggy rides and face painting, and great shopping opportunities. WFM musicians Keven G. Moore and Betty’s Bounce will be playing, and you will recognize Magic Mike, who has filled in for our balloon man Yarrow from time to time.
