What form of payments are accepted at the market?

Most vendors accept all major credit/debit cards, excluding Flats Mentor Farms and Deano's Pasta who are CASH ONLY.  Cash is always welcome as credit card fees continue to rise.

Does Wakefield Farmers Market accept SNAP/EBT?

The market accepts SNAP/EBT cards at the Market Manager tent.  Visit us and we will match your SNAP purchases up to $15 per visit, so that everyone can afford to get fresh and healthy foods at our market. Thanks to our Match Sponsor, The Wakefield Food Pantry, we are able to put an additional $10,000 in fresh produce, fish, eggs and meat onto plates.

Are there farms that offer HIP?

Use your EBT card to shop with Farmer Dave or Moonlight Farms first to receive your HIP benefits, then get your SNAP bucks and $15 Match at the Market Manager Tent that can be used at all food vendors with the exception of Hot foods and alcoholic beverages. 

How do I become a vendor?

Is there parking near the market?

Yes, there are many options for parking.

Veterans Field Parking - the U shaped lot between Veterans field and the  Market. Please be mindful of pedestrians and the handicapped spaces.

Lakeside Avenue - there are several spaces in the lot on Lakeside Ave.  0.2 miles from the market, a 3 minute walk

Light Department employee lot - 0.2 miles from the market and a 3 minute walk.

Town Hall, 1 Lafayette Street, Parking lot is 0.4 miles from the market, and a 7 minute walk. 

Common St has 4 hour customer spaces and also  in front of First Baptist and Artichokes. 0.4 miles from the market, and a 7 minute walk.

North Ave from Albion St to Church St has parking on the business/residential side. Be mindful of  the signage regarding parking too close to corners and the time limits. If you park along the railroad track side of North Ave, you may get a bill from the T for $2. The town does not own those spaces.  0.4 miles from the market, and an 8 minute  walk from Albion St

Near the bandstand: has spaces along the common. 0.5 miles from the market and an 8 minute walk.
