Distribute SNAP bucks & SNAP match to shoppers after they swipe their EBT cards.
-
Distribute HIP-eligible produce flyers and answer questions about the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP).
-
Track buck distribution and record basic data.
-
Help with signage or setup/breakdown (depending on your shift)
Time Commitment:
-
Volunteers usually work in 2- to 3-hour shifts
-
The market runs Saturdays from 9 AM to 1 PM, typically June through October (with a few special markets later in the year).
Who Can Volunteer:
-
Adults and responsible teens (18+) are welcome.
-
It’s a great opportunity for community service or for those passionate about food justice.
Volunteers are critical to the success of WFM. We provide an opportunity to engage with vendors and customers directly, learn how farmers markets operate and involvement in the local community.
