We’d like to start out with a huge thank you to everyone who came out for this past weekend’s Tomato Festival. What a busy and fun Saturday it was! From our amazing vendors, to our loyal customers, to our new friends at Wakefield PorchFest — we are so grateful for this community.
Now, we’re already looking ahead to this coming Saturday, which is shaping up to be another glorious, sunny day by the lake. With more than 35 vendors joining us, there will be plenty to fill your tote. Here are a few of our favorite quick grabs you won’t want to miss:

Secret Stash Sweets
Move over, Willy Wonka! Wakefield’s own Secret Stash Sweets makes small-batch artisanal caramels, caramel sauces, fresh brigadeiro, and seasonal treats. But that’s not all—she also whips up cotton candy, marshmallows, and more. Sweet tooths, you’ve been warned.
Lola & Bean Co.
Looking for a gift that isn’t edible? Lola & Bean Co. offers hand-poured, small-batch soy candles that are both sustainable and eco-friendly. Made with clean ingredients and a minimalist aesthetic, these candles are the perfect way to refresh your space. We’ll be grabbing the Sweater Season scent this weekend.
Sweet Botanicals
Need a beautiful hostess gift, a treat for a teacher, or a thoughtful snack for your gardening neighbor? Check out Sweet Botanical Bakes, a small, woman-owned business from Medford, MA. Their shortbread cookies are topped with delicate edible flowers and come in flavors like Matcha Pearl and Lemon Lavender. They’re almost too pretty to eat—almost.

Mariela Mexico
Ever notice the colorful market totes our staff and customers carry? Those are from Mariela Mexico! Handmade in Oaxaca, these stylish bags are woven from recycled plastic, making them both eco-friendly and sustainable. Even better, a portion of profits supports Centro de Esperanza Infantil, a charity providing education and support to children in Oaxaca.
So snag your Mariela Mexico tote, and get ready for another perfect day to shop local, support small businesses, and enjoy the beauty of the Wakefield Farmers Market community. We’ll see you this Saturday and every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM at Hall Park (468 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA), through October 25.
Be sure to stay connected through our website and social media channels for updates, vendor spotlights, and weekly entertainment lineups.
Thank you for supporting local — we’ll see you at the market!
