Navigating Parking at the Wakefield Farmers Market: Your Guide to a Stress-Free Visit

The Wakefield Farmers Market is gearing up to celebrate its 15th year, and we couldn't be more excited! Starting June 15 and running through October 26, the market will be open every Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm, rain or shine, at 468 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA. This cherished community event promises a bountiful selection of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and a fun and festive atmosphere that has become a staple in the lives of Wakefield residents.

What to Expect

This year, we’re thrilled to introduce new vendors alongside your favorite returning farmers and small-batch producers. Whether you're looking for organic vegetables, handcrafted cheeses, or freshly baked bread, the Wakefield Farmers Market has something for everyone. Plus live music, activities for the kids, and more.

Parking Information

With recent construction on North Avenue, we want to ensure that your visit is as smooth as possible by providing up-to-date parking information:

  • Veterans Field Parking: Located in the U-shaped lot between Veterans Field and the market. Please be mindful of pedestrians and handicapped spaces.

  • Lakeside Avenue: Several parking spaces are available in the lot on Lakeside Ave, just 0.2 miles from the market—a quick 3-minute walk.

  • Light Department Employee Lot: Also 0.2 miles from the market, providing another convenient 3-minute walk.

  • Town Hall (1 Lafayette Street): The parking lot here is 0.4 miles from the market, approximately a 7-minute walk.

  • Common Street: Offers 4-hour customer spaces, including spots in front of First Baptist Church and Artichokes. This location is 0.4 miles from the market, about a 7-minute walk.

  • North Avenue (from Albion St to Church St): Parking is available on the business/residential side. Be mindful of signage regarding parking near corners and time limits. Parking along the railroad track side may result in a fee from the T, as the town does not own these spaces. This is approximately an 8-minute walk from Albion St.

  • Near the Bandstand: Additional spaces are available along the common, about 0.5 miles from the market, or an 8-minute walk.

All times and distances are approximate, so plan accordingly to ensure you have ample time to explore the market.
