While a bit of inclement weather is still rolling through (and yes — we’ll take snow over rain this time of year!), behind the scenes we are already deep in planning mode for another vibrant season at the Wakefield Farmers Market.

The Board and Market Manager have been hard at work holding planning meetings, reviewing last season, and laying the groundwork for an even stronger 2026 market. Vendor applications have been sent to returning favorites, and we’re thoughtfully reviewing customer and vendor feedback from last year. Your input truly matters to us — it helps shape everything from vendor mix to programming to the overall market experience.

And of course, the most important date has officially been circled on the calendar…

Saturday, June 13th marks Opening Day of the 2026 Wakefield Farmers Market season!

While June may feel a little ways off, the anticipation has already begun. Opening Day is more than just the first market of the season — it’s a celebration of local food, community connection, live music, and the start of summer rhythms. It’s the return of familiar faces, fresh greens, warm baked goods, handcrafted products, and that unmistakable buzz of neighbors gathering together.

In the meantime, now is the perfect time to:
