Market Day October 2, 2021

Join the Wakefield Farmers Market this Saturday, October 2, from 9am to 1pm, 468 North Ave/Hall Park. We’ve got lots of things planned for the day, as we enter the last month of the market season.

As always, have hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, and jump ropes on hand for kids of all ages. Thanks to the Wakefield Co-operative Bank for sponsoring our kids events this year. Save the Date: Curious Creatures returns October 9, at 11 am. Plus, the Magic of Yarrow and his awesome balloon sculpture.


Stop by the Market Manager tent, show you support for the market, and place your order for your very own Wakefield Farmers Market tee! A $25 donation gets you one of our awesome new 100% cotton tees that you can wear proudly, and fashionably too.

Including a WFM Support & Shop tent throughout the month of October, where you can get a chance to win lots of great items from our market vendors. This week look for an apple picking experience for 4 at Farmer Dave's and much more. Plus I'm putting my maker’s cap back on and will be selling lots of great handmade, seasonal and home decor items to benefit our farmers market.


And we can’t forget, Betty’s Bounce joins us for some live music in Hall Park. Music starts at 10am! Wear your dancing shoes. Generously sponsored by The Savings Bank.

Now. here’s the official list of week’s vendors: Produce: Brox Farm try the pita chips, you will love them. Farmer Dave’s will have lots of freshly harvested produce, and delicious baked goods from Jane. Kelly’s Farm will have plenty of in-season produce of all kinds, including corn. Microgreens & mushrooms are back with Neighbor’s Acre Farm, if you haven’t tried them, you are missing out. Flats Mentor returns with their delicious Asian greens - the best onions around. Flats is a CASH ONLY vendor.

Pasture-raised Meats, Poultry, and Eggs: Lilac Hedge Farm will have all you need for locally raised meats, poultry, eggs and now, cheese! Check out their local honey


Seafood: Roberto’s Seafood will have plenty of fresh seafood on hand. You can even pre-order and have it ready for you at the market. Call Roberto’s Seafood for details. I’m not lying when I say, “the freshest seafood around”.


Specialty Foods: Deano's Pasta delicious fresh pasta (cash only vendor). Grateful Tastes is here with artisanal spreads for more than just bread, and Habibi Gourmet Food (Mediterranean fare), the very best authentic Egyptian and Lebanese food. Fork on a Road returns with the best in seasonal meal kits and spices. Just add veggies! Drew’s Stews is back again this week with his delish soups for the soul.


Baked Goods & Sweets: The Bread Shop with the most delicious french sandwich loaf. Roasted Granola, with the best granola around, and our newest bread shop, Purple Carrot Bread Co, try their cheddar sourdough - so good. Plus dairy, nut & gluten free Wicked Awesome Brownie & chocolate caramel delights from Secret Stash Sweets.

Beverages: Aaronap Cellars (wine) are showcasing the best in Northeast wine making. Pour Man’s Coffee is here, too, with the BEST cold brew coffee and other beverages, plus treats to enjoy at the market. They also sell Fair Trade coffee beans from Dean’s Beans to take home. Tower Beverage with the best root beers and sodas you’ll ever try.


Pet Treats: Emmett’s Edibles, with healthy treats for your canine and feline friends.


Artisans: Alisha Doodles will be here with her illustrated tees, stickers and more. Ash to Dust Insights with beautiful, handmade wood burned accessories. Biss Botanicals joins us with plants and succulents for your indoor spaces. Sasquatch Woodworks has been busy working on some beautiful and functional new pieces. Ugly Baby Soap Co with their all natural collection and the Vintage Vault & Co. with their hand poured soy candles in vintage containers.
