Market Day September 10, 2022

This Saturday, September 10 from 9am to 1pm, the Wakefield Farmers Market will be full of freshly picked fruits, veggies, locally raised meats, fresh fish, dairy, and specialty foods you won’t find on any supermarket shelf. As I write, the weather is predicted to be beautiful, NO humidity and a high of 80. We only have 8 markets left in the regular season.

We’ve got live music from Amy Young, will be keeping us entertained. Special thanks to The Savings Bank for sponsoring our music tent once again this year, making it possible for us to support local musicians.

Dr. Eliot Smalheiser, PT will return this week offering free 10 minute massages to our market community.

The Arts Collaborative of Wakefield is here with local art and information on the October art show, Creatures & Critters at the Albion Cultural Exchange. I’ve got 4 pieces entered for the show and many 5x7s available for the PAWS fundraiser that we are planning (I’m on the planning committee). Stop by and see what we have planned.

Massachusetts DCF returns to share information about the importance of fostering and how you can help.

Beebe Pop-up Library is back. Get a library card, grab a book, a blanket from Sarah’s Originals and something yummy to eat and drink, find a spot under a tree, and have yourself a picnic.
