Spotlight on Food rEvolution at Wakefield Farmers Market

Another beautiful market is under our belt, and can you believe this coming weekend is the last one before school starts? The three-day weekend is here, and if you’re staying local, the Wakefield Farmers Market has plenty in store for you!

Bring the kids for animal balloons, grab bread, cheese, and jam for a taste of a European getaway, or pick up corn, tomatoes, and seafood for a perfect taste of New England summer. Not to toot our own horn, but we really do have a vendor for almost all of your tasty needs.

That being said, there’s one vendor we haven’t highlighted this summer season—and they’re extra special: Food rEvolution.

Think of Food rEvolution as multiple vendors in one—a one-stop shop! This mission-driven, woman-owned shared culinary space provides a welcoming kitchen for local food businesses to create, grow, and build their base. Starting a food business in Massachusetts is no easy task, and spaces like Food rEvolution make it possible. Not only do they offer kitchen space, but they also help their vendors sell at local farmers markets—like ours!

We’re thrilled to host Food rEvolution on Saturday, September 6th during our Tomato Festival (more details coming next week). Until then, here’s a taste of some of the amazing businesses they support:

  • Rascal Relish – Gardener and plant educator Sarah preserves the local bounty—sourcing from woman-owned farms—into flavorful relishes and spreads.

We can’t wait to see you at this weekend’s Labor Day Market and again next Saturday, September 6th, for our beloved Tomato Festival. Be sure to come with your Food rEvolution grocery list in hand! We’ll see you this Saturday and every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM at Hall Park (468 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA), through October 25.

Be sure to stay connected through our website and social media channels for updates, vendor spotlights, and weekly entertainment lineups.

Thank you for supporting local — we’ll see you at the market!
