The good weather we ordered has certainly arrived! Another beautiful Saturday is ahead, and with August winding down and back-to-school just around the corner, many of you may be squeezing in your last summer vacations. But don’t forget—harvest season is upon us! This is the magical moment where summer and fall produce meet. Think fresh basil, juicy tomatoes, sweet corn, peaches, peppers, squash, eggplant, and so much more.
We are incredibly fortunate to have such dedicated farms with us every week, and we’d like to take a moment to highlight them:

A third-generation farm in Dracut, Kelly’s provides delicious fruits, vegetables, and flowers that have been loved by local families for decades.
A family farm in Dracut offering an incredible variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, and baked goods, with a strong commitment to sustainable farming.
Known for its certified organic produce grown with care in West Bridgewater, Moonlight brings seasonal favorites that are as fresh as they come.
Specializing in gourmet mushrooms, this innovative farm brings unique and flavorful varieties to Wakefield each week.
For those using SNAP benefits, remember you can use your SNAP dollars at the market. Thanks to the Wakefield Food Pantry, we can match up to $15, allowing you to maximize your access to fresh, local food.
And some good news: starting September 1st, the monthly Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) benefit cap will return to the tiered levels of $40, $60, or $80, depending on your household size. Be sure to ask about your monthly HIP benefits! Both Farmer Dave’s and Moonlight Farm accept HIP, making it even easier to stock up on fresh produce.

Don’t forget to stop by our Market Tent and say hello to Kristin, our SNAP Coordinator. She works tirelessly to keep everything running smoothly so that we can continue serving our community!
This Saturday, come for the sunshine, stay for the fresh finds, and leave with something special—just for you (and maybe for your four-legged friend). We’ll see you this Saturday and every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM at Hall Park (468 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA), through October 25.
Be sure to stay connected through our website and social media channels for updates, vendor spotlights, and weekly entertainment lineups.
Thank you for supporting local — we’ll see you at the market!
