Sweet Countdown: Just Over 2 Weeks Until Market Day! 🍓🍦

We’re officially counting down the days — Opening Day of the Wakefield Farmers Market is Saturday, June 14th, and we are more than ready to welcome you back to the lawn with fresh produce, live music, and all the delicious small-batch goodies you’ve missed all winter.

And you know what we really can’t wait for?

The sweet stuff.

From flaky croissants to flower-powered cookies to small-batch ice cream, this year’s vendor lineup is packed with decadent baked goods, hand-crafted confections, and treats for every kind of sweet tooth. Here's a sneak peek at just a few of the vendors who will be bringing the sugar and joy this season:

🥖 Purple Carrot Bread Co.

Based in Lowell, MA, Purple Carrot is an artisan bread company specializing in small-batch breads made without preservatives or fillers — many of which are naturally vegan. They’re known for their pillowy croissants, tender scones, and hearty, wholesome loaves that are as beautiful as they are flavorful. Whether you're picking up a baguette for dinner or a morning pastry to-go, they’ve got you covered.

🍫 Desserts by Nathan

Pastry Chef Nathan Kibarian brings serious skill (and sweetness) to the table with an array of traditional Middle Eastern and European pastries and chocolates. His booth is a feast for the eyes and the tastebuds, with expertly crafted desserts that show his true passion for all things pastry. Make sure to check out his beautiful cakes on his website!

🌸 Sweet Botanical Bakes

Say hello to a truly blooming business! This woman-owned cookie company out of Medford, MA specializes in buttery shortbread cookies adorned with edible flowers. Not only are they stunning and delicious, but Sweet Botanical Bakes donates 5% of all proceeds to local community gardens, Seed Savers Exchange, and United Plant Savers—making every cookie a little bite of beauty and purpose.

🍓 Grateful Tastes

Jam lovers, rejoice! Grateful Tastes brings locally sourced, artisanal spreads—preserves, jellies, raw honey, and pure maple syrup—that are made with love and peak-season ingredients. Grateful Tastes offerings are the perfect addition to your morning toast, cheese board, or market bag.

🍨 Decor Scoop

This ice cream brand puts flavor, integrity, and freshness at the forefront. Decor Scoop crafts their dreamy ice creams with minimal sugar, zero chemicals, and only the freshest ingredients. Their egg-free recipes are perfect for vegetarians, and they also offer delectable vegan options. Expect rich, unique flavors in every scoop—just in time for summer heat.

🥭 Joy of Treats

Joy of Treats offers a unique and flavorful lineup of Indian sweets—from traditional classics to modern fusion creations. Many of their treats are made with no added sugar, making them a delicious option for anyone looking for something a little different (and a little healthier) to satisfy their sweet tooth.

🍞 The Bread Shop

The Bread Shop is back! This beloved returning vendor known for rustic loaves, soft sandwich breads, and a wide selection of pastries and cookies. Whether you’re grabbing a morning cinnamon roll or a loaf to take home, their handmade baked goods are a Wakefield favorite for a reason.
