We’re Back! 45 Vendors, Live Music & a Beautiful Fall Market
After last weekend’s cancellation, we're back to our regularly scheduled market this Saturday, and beautiful weather!
First, thank you to everyone who reached out about the market last week. Canceling is never an easy decision, especially when so many small businesses depend on their Saturday markets. And, as anyone who lives in New England knows, the weather can make those decisions even harder because you can’t always trust the forecast!
But this Saturday, as of right now—and we really don’t want to jinx it, is looking pretty perfect. So, a big shoutout to Mother Nature for getting back on board.
And because of last week’s cancellation, we have a FULL market this Saturday with 45 vendors!
Our farms will be slinging some of the finest produce around, and you can come hungry and make a whole morning of it. Grab a crepe filled with produce fresh from the market, dumplings, empanadas, and plenty of other delicious market food. From beverages to bouquets, sweet treats to ceramics, there’s a little bit of everything waiting for you this week.
You can also swing by the Wakefield Municipal Gas & Light Department tent to learn more about their programs and offerings. Or, if you’ve been thinking about switching up your hair care routine, stop by Jennifer’s Handmade Soaps to check out their sulfite-free shampoo and conditioner bars.
And, of course, there’s plenty to do beyond shopping!
We’ll have live music from Art Grossman, face painting by Jacki, and balloons by Yarrow. There truly is something for everyone at the Wakefield Farmers Market.
And just because the mornings are getting cooler and the leaves are starting to change doesn’t mean market season is over. We still have the entire month of October ahead of us!
Our final outdoor market of the season is October 31, so start thinking about those Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat market totes—we’ve still got plenty of Saturdays together before then.
Dust off those market bags, come hungry, and come hang out with us.
