Sweet Start to the Season + Strawberry Festival This Weekend!

Thank you so much to everyone who came out to the Wakefield Farmers Market this past Saturday! What an incredible way to kick off the season. It felt so good to welcome back familiar faces — both vendors and customers — meet new visitors, and experience that signature market buzz once again. And of course, nothing beats heading home with bags full of fresh local produce and artisan goods.

We’re still buzzing with excitement from opening day, but if you missed it, don’t worry — the fun is just getting started. We’ll be back this Saturday and every Saturday through October (except July 5).

And this weekend is extra sweet: we’ll be celebrating locally grown, red and ripe berries with our very own Strawberry Festival!

🍓 Get your fill of all things strawberry: fresh pints of berries, strawberry jam, strawberry ice cream and gelato, pastries, juices, mead, and more.

A Few Important Reminders:

🛒 We Accept SNAP & EBT!Stop by the Market Manager tent to use your SNAP/EBT card — and thanks to our generous Match Sponsor, The Wakefield Food Pantry, we’ll match your SNAP purchases up to $15 per visit. That means more fresh produce, fish, eggs, and meat going home with local families. Together, we’ll be putting an additional $10,000 of fresh, healthy, local food onto plates this season.

Making sure everyone has access to good, healthy food is one of our top priorities.

Oh and those of you that are new to the market, or just need a refresher, here is a quick public parking service announcement; 🚗 Quick Parking Tips:

• Veterans Field Lot – U-shaped lot next to the market (watch for pedestrians & handicapped spots)

• Lakeside Ave Lot – 0.2 miles (3-minute walk)

• Light Department Lot – 0.2 miles (3-minute walk)

• Town Hall (1 Lafayette St) – 0.4 miles (7-minute walk)

• Common Street & Nearby Lots – 0.4 miles (7-minute walk)

• North Ave (Albion to Church) – Street parking (check signs for restrictions)

Whether you park and walk or snag VIP parking, we’re excited to have you join us every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM at Hall Park (468 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA), and we’ll be there every Saturday through October 25.
