The Wakefield Farmers Market is back in business, Saturday, July 10 from 9am to 1pm, 468 North Ave/Hall Park. We’d like to thank the Wakefield Police, Massachusetts State Police and all Law Enforcement involved in last Saturday’s incident which caused our cancellation. We are thankful that it ended peacefully and that no one was harmed. We are also thankful to our volunteers and vendors for helping us get the word out to everyone. This was definitely not on my cancellation Bingo card.

Produce: Brox Farm will have freshly cut flowers, and the most delicious cherry tomatoes, and the most amazing pita chip snacks. Farmer Dave and Kelly’s Farm will have plenty of in-season produce of all kinds. There will be luscious strawberries available, as well as greens, herbs, and potted plants. Microgreens & mushrooms are back with Neighbor’s Acre Farm, if you haven’t tried them, you are missing out. Flats Mentor returns with their delicious Asian greens - the best onions around. Flats is a CASH ONLY vendor. Pasture-raised Meats, Poultry, and Eggs: Lilac Hedge Farm will have all you need for locally raised meats, poultry, eggs and now, cheese! Check out their local honey.
Seafood: Roberto’s Seafood will have plenty of fresh seafood on hand. You can even pre-order and have it ready for you at the market. Call Roberto’s Seafood for details.
Specialty Foods: Grateful Tastes is here with artisanal spreads for more than just bread, Fork on a Road with meal kits & spices, and Habibi Gourmet Food (Mediterranean fare), the very best authentic Egyptian and Lebanese food.
Baked Goods: Goodies Homemade (the BEST Cookies). The Bread Shop and Roasted Granola, both return and our newest bread shop, Purple Carrot Bread Co. The market offers SNAP/EBT and will again be matching SNAP purchases up to $10 per visit so that everyone can afford to get fresh and healthy foods at our market. Plus, for SNAP folks: HIP is back! The Wakefield Farmers Market runs RAIN OR SHINE (except in dangerous weather, e.g. lightning or hurricane conditions).
