Market Day October 23

Join the Wakefield Farmers Market, Saturday, October 23, from 9am to 1pm and stock up on your favorites, as we approach the last two markets of the season. Save the dates for our Outdoor Holiday markets, November 20 and December 11, 10am to 1pm.


As always, have hula hoops, sidewalk chalk, and jump ropes on hand for kids of all ages. Thanks to the Wakefield Co-operative Bank for sponsoring our kids events this year.

Hobby High, with members of Brox Farm, joins us for some live music in Hall Park. Music starts at 10am. Wear your dancing shoes. Generously sponsored by The Savings Bank.

Now, here’s what you’ve been waiting for – the official list of week’s vendors! Produce: Brox Farm will have lots of in season and pita chips that put the supermarket brands to shame. Farmer Dave’s will have lots of freshly harvested produce, along with the delicious baked goods,. Kelly’s Farm will have plenty of in-season produce. Microgreens & mushrooms are back with Neighbor’s Acre Farm, if you haven’t tried them, you are missing out. Flats Mentor Farm returns with their delicious Asian greens - the best onions around. Flats is a CASH ONLY vendor.

Cheese: West River Creamery is back this week, with the best cheese you have ever had.

Pasture-raised Meats, Poultry, and Eggs: Lilac Hedge Farm will have all you need for locally raised meats, poultry, eggs and now, cheese! Fresh, local, yummy.


Seafood: Roberto’s Seafood will have plenty of fresh seafood on hand. You can even pre-order and have it ready for you at the market. Call Roberto’s Seafood for details.

Specialty Foods: Coutt’s Specialty Foods is back this week with all their best products. See what Drew’s Stews has been cooking up and what you could be cooking with great meal kits and spices from Fork on a Road. Habibi Gourmet Food (Mediterranean fare), has the very best authentic Egyptian and Lebanese food.


Baked Goods & Sweets: Goodies Homemade (the BEST Cookies). The Bread Shop and Roasted Granola, both return and our newest bread shop, Purple Carrot Bread Co. Check out the delicious caramel offerings, Secret Stash Sweets has on her table this week!


Beverages: Aaronap Cellars (wine) are showcasing the best in Northeast wine making. Pour Man’s Coffee is here, too, with the BEST ice coffee and other beverages, plus treats to enjoy at the market. They also sell Fair Trade coffee beans from Dean’s Beans to take home. Simple Sips with the best natural fruit purees, fragrant herbal syrups, and fresh juices, bottled into an amazing fresh cocktail mix.


Artisans: Ash to Dust Insights, with one of a kind home accessories & art. Biss Botanicals is here with the most unique potted houseplants of all sizes and light needs. Mariela is here with the best bags handmade with recycled materials. And Sarah returns for her last market visit for the summer/fall season, get your orders in now for holiday market pick-up!


Pet Treats: Emmett’s Edibles, with healthy treats for your canine and feline friends. Want to help? Go to the Volunteer page on our website or stop by the Market Manager table to learn how. Many hands make a better market for all. We are always looking for setup (8-9am) and breakdown assistance (1pm-1:30pm).

The market offers SNAP/EBT and is matching SNAP purchases, $10 per visit, so that everyone can afford to get fresh and healthy foods at our market. Thank you to the Wakefield Food Pantry, for generously sponsoring the WFM Snap Match Program.


The Wakefield Farmers Market runs RAIN OR SHINE (except in dangerous weather, e.g. lightning or hurricane conditions). The market opens at 9:00 a.m. and closes at 1:00 p.m. every Saturday through October 30, 2021.
