Can you believe it? We’re only four weeks away from Opening Day at the Wakefield Farmers Market—Saturday, June 14 — and the excitement is growing!

Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work preparing for another vibrant season filled with the local farms, food producers, artists, and live music you know and love. From crisp veggies and creamy cheeses to fresh seafood and small-batch baked goods, there's something for everyone. And yes, your favorite vendors are coming back (with some exciting new faces too)!

Each week leading up to Opening Day, we’ll be sharing sneak peeks, preorder tips, and shopping tricks to help you make the most of your Saturdays at the market.

This Week’s Tips for a Smooth Market Visit

Craving farm-fresh eggs?

We’re thrilled to welcome back Lilac Hedge Farm, a family-run farm offering sustainably raised meats, poultry, eggs, cheese, and butter. To ensure you get everything you need on market day, we recommend creating an account and preordering online. Just be sure to select Wakefield Farmers Market as your pickup location.

Another egg option is Moonlight Farm. They will be bringing pasture-raised eggs from their regenerative, woman-owned farm in Westminster, MA. These golden-yolked beauties are perfect for your morning scramble or weekend baking.

Love local seafood?

We’re also excited to welcome back Roberto’s Seafood, known for their fresh scallops, haddock, salmon, and more, always at great prices. They’re a popular stop, so preorder early by emailing robsfd24@outlook.com or calling 617-529-5701. Orders must be in by Friday at 9 AM.

Smoked seafood lovers, rejoice! Boston Smoked Fish offers small-batch smoked salmon, bluefish pâté, spreads, and more—all made in South Boston. Preorder online for easy pickup and enjoy bold, savory flavor all week long.
