One of the best parts of the Wakefield Farmers Market is getting to know the people behind the products—and if you’ve ever stopped by Grateful Tastes, you know there’s something special about what they bring to the market each week.
From small-batch jams to rich maple syrup, their table is full of flavors that feel both nostalgic and thoughtfully made.

A Longtime Part of the Market
Grateful Tastes has been joining us at the Wakefield Farmers Market for 7 of their 8 seasons in business (and they kicked off their ninth year this February!). Over time, they’ve become a familiar and much-loved part of our market community.
A Story Rooted in Family
Like many small businesses, Grateful Tastes started with a big life shift. After welcoming their son, James, they began paying closer attention to the food they were bringing into their home—reading labels more carefully, navigating allergies, and rethinking what “good food” really meant for their family.
At the same time, the reality of an unfulfilling job made them pause and ask: What are we working toward? The answer led them back to something simple and meaningful—creating food inspired by what they grew up with, made with care, and meant to be shared with the people you love most.
Turning Challenges into Purpose
After experiencing a serious spinal injury that changed the course of their lives, the idea of building something of their own became even more important.
Grateful Tastes grew from that moment—a desire to create a business rooted in passion, family, and intention. What started as an idea has grown into something that reflects not just what they make, but why they make it.
Thoughtful From Start to Finish
What stands out about Grateful Tastes is the care behind every decision they make:
Using locally sourced fruit from family farms
Choosing American-made equipment and containers
Prioritizing sustainability and responsible practices
Their approach is about more than just great products—it’s about building something that lasts, for both their family and the wider community.

A Few Flavors to Try
Not sure where to start? Here are just a few of the delicious options you might find at their booth:
Apple Pie
Blueberry Basil Honey
Dark Sweet Cherry
Jalapeño Honey
Maple Ginger Pear
Raspberry
Smoked Peach
Strawberry Balsamic
Whether you love something classic or want to try a flavor with a twist, there’s always something new to discover.
Why Wakefield
They’ve done markets and events across New England, but they keep coming back to Wakefield—and we’re so glad they do.
Yes, the lakeside setting is hard to beat. But what really makes it special is the people. The support, the conversations, and the sense of community are what make this market feel like home.
Find Them This Season
As we get ready for opening day on June 13th, be sure to add Grateful Tastes to your must-visit list. Whether you’re picking up a favorite or trying something new, it’s the kind of stop that becomes part of your weekly routine.
We’re so lucky to have them as part of our market family.
