This week, we’re highlighting one of the market’s sweetest returning favorites: Secret Stash Sweets, owned by Suzanne, who will be joining us every week throughout the 2026 market season.

Suzanne has been part of the Wakefield Farmers Market for five years and says the market has become the highlight of her business year. Originally drawn to the beautiful lakeside setting and welcoming small-town atmosphere, she quickly fell in love with the strong sense of community shared between vendors and customers alike.

Secret Stash Sweets grew from Suzanne’s lifelong passion for creating memorable homemade dishes and sweets for her family. While raising her children as a widowed single mother, her kitchen became a creative space filled with experimentation, curiosity, and comfort. One day she’d wake up wondering how to make marshmallows, and by afternoon, the dining room table would be filled with multiple flavors ready to share with friends and family.

As her children grew older, Suzanne decided to turn that passion into a business focused on handcrafted small-batch confections made with premium ingredients and a whole lot of heart.

Today, Secret Stash Sweets has become a beloved staple at the Wakefield Farmers Market, offering handmade treats that customers return for year after year. For Suzanne, one of the greatest rewards is watching families revisit her booth each season and seeing children excitedly pull their parents across the field for their favorite sweets.

“It’s literally the best reward I could imagine,” she says.
